Who is this for?
Year 10, 11 and 12 students who:
- May find Maths studies challenging
- Need extra support to build strong numeracy skills
- Are at risk of not meeting the numeracy requirement for their QCE
Students should be performing at least at Level 2 of the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF).
What is the Numeracy Short Course?
The Numeracy Short Course is a flexible, one-unit online course that:
- Takes around 55 hours to complete
- Involves two internal assessments
- Focuses on practical numeracy skills for life, study, and work
- Contributes one QCE point
- Meets the numeracy requirement for the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE)
- Does not contribute to ATAR, making it ideal for students heading into vocational pathways or work

What will you learn?
Topic 1
| Personal and Community Numeracy
Develop the ability to interpret and use mathematical information in everyday life, including budgeting, time management, measurement, and understanding data.

Topic 2
| Workplace and Employment Numeracy
Apply numeracy skills in workplace situations such as interpreting pay slips, working with schedules, understanding workplace measurements and using formulas.
