Do I have to be located in Queensland to study with FisherONE?
For now. FisherONE is currently available for students of Brisbane Catholic Education schools only, but this will change. By 2025 FisherONE looks forward to welcoming students from across Australia. Our online learning platform is purpose-built to allow students to access our courses regardless of their geographic location.
Do I need to be enrolled at a Brisbane Catholic Education school to study with FisherONE?
At the moment, yes. FisherONE is currently only available to students already attending a Brisbane Catholic Education School. While FisherONE is a part of Brisbane Catholic Education, students from both Catholic and non-Catholic schools will be welcome to enrol in our online courses from 2025. Our long-term vision is to provide quality education to all students, irrespective of their school affiliation.
How does online learning at FisherONE work?
At FisherONE, online learning involves the use of a digital learning environment where students engage in facilitated learning experiences. Our teachers create a structured curriculum, deliver online lessons, provide learning resources, and offer ongoing support to students. Students participate in group live lessons, and individual follow-ups, and interact with their classmates through the online platform.
What subjects are available at FisherONE?
FisherONE offers a range of senior subjects approved by the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA). The subjects currently available include Ancient History, Modern History, Business, Physics, Design, Digital Solutions, Specialist Mathematics, Japanese, and Music. Absolutely! FisherONE offers single-subject enrollments that seamlessly integrate with your current school timetable. You can choose to enrol in a FisherONE subject alongside your subjects at your current school, expanding your options and ensuring your senior subject profile more closely matches your post-school aspirations.
