Designed for students with a range of pathway goals, learning preferences and post-school aspirations, these one-unit QCAA courses combine practical real-world learning with personalised teacher support in a flexible online environment.

Do these courses contribute to the QCE?
Yes. Each short course contributes to 1 QCE point toward a student’s Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE).
How are the courses delivered?
Students remain enrolled at their base school while studying online with FisherONE.
Courses include:
- one compulsory live online lesson each week
- independent learning activities
- regular teacher feedback and support
- ongoing communication with families and base schools
Are there any external exams?
No. FisherONE Literacy and Numeracy Short Courses do not include external QCAA exams. All assessments are internal, with an internal exam provided to the student’s base school for administration.
Can students study a short course alongside subjects at their base school?
Yes. FisherONE short courses are designed to complement a student’s existing senior program.
What support do students receive?
Students are supported through:
- expert online teachers
- regular feedback and communication

- collaboration between FisherONE, families and base schools
What technology is required?
Students will need:
- a laptop or tablet with a camera
- reliable internet access
- headphones with a microphone

How to Enrol
Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE) Students
Enrolment applications must be arranged through the student’s base school.
Students and families should speak with their:
- Principal
- Head of Senior Schooling
- Careers Counsellor
- Head of Department
Non-BCE Catholic Colleges and Queensland RI Schools
Eligible students may begin the enrolment process online through FisherONE.
Applications must be completed by a legal guardian.
